Biography

Mayor Nontombizanele Flowerdale Koni is a member of the African National Congress (ANC). Her political career includes serving as a ward councillor and now Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Local Municipality. She is committed to the ANC's principles and works towards community development and social justice.

Early Life & Education

Councillor Koni was born on 14 June 1977 at Xonxa village in Cacadu — previously known as Lady Frere — under the Gcina Tribal Authority. She is a single parent of two children.
