Emalahleni Local Municipality in partnership with the National Union of Mine workers, Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited, Department of Education and school management set to gather at Ntsonkotha Senior Secondary School on the 25th of January 2017 to verify areas which need major renovations.
The programme was initiated by National Union of Mine workers during the election campaign period responding to the request that was made by Ntsonkotha Senior Secondary School.
Ntsonkotha Senior Secondary School is among the schools that were identified by the national union of mine workers to be assisted. Mr Sabelo Gotywa a member of the National Union of Mine workers who was leading the delegation which visited the area during the election campaign period will be present to ensure that what they promised is done.
Emalahleni Local Municipality Her Worship Mayor Nomveliso Nyukwana will be among thedignitaries that will seat for this session as Emalahleni Local Municipality has been identified as one of the labour sending areas.
The National Union of Mine workers approached Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited to sponsor the renovations at Ntsonkotha Senior Secondary School as they have an obligation to have social responsibility programmes.
Ms Mahadi Letsoisa the Social Facilitation Practitioner on behalf of Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited will be present to verify all the areas that need to be repaired and to ensure that a clear plan is in place and at the same time to commence with the required support.
The situation will be assessed through touring of the facility.Work to be done will open job opportunities for the people of Emalahleni Local Municipality as skilled, semi-skilled and the general workers checking to its complexity.
