Emalahleni Local Municipality’s Law Enforcement section together with South African Police Service (Cacadu police station) and the Department of Home Affairs Immigration section staged a roadblock on R410.

A number of Vehicles were stopped check if drivers were with legal driving licenses. Up to date license disc. Foreign national with the required the right documentation to be in South Africa.

There were vehicles that were confiscated due to unlicensed drivers. Vehicles that are Unroadworthy. Foreign nationals with no documentation as required and vehicles that carry passengers and goods at the back of a truck without proper documents.

Road users appreciated the operation as some of them were police officers, government officials who are from other provinces coming home for the festive season. Motorists were pleased by the operation and pleaded with Traffic officers and the Police officials to do operations of this nature more often.
