Emalahleni Local Municipality is required to establish Ward Committees in terms of section 73 (1) of the Local Government Municipal Structures Act 117 of 1998. The election of Ward Committees in terms of the guidelines adopted by Emalahleni Municipal Council must be preceded by the calls for nomination of these Ward Committees. The Municipality has already advertised for the calls for nomination of Ward Committees followed by this program. The following program seeks to inform communities about the times, dates and venues for the election of Ward Committees in all wards.
The following is the Public Participation program for the establishment of Ward Committees for 2016-2021 Council term of office.
